Use cases

Provision platform wallets, build shopping wallet apps, and give shopping agents constrained purchasing authority.

Use cases

Seams is for products that need a persistent wallet for each user or shopping agent. The wallet holds value or assets across sessions and provides the authentication, recovery, policy, and audit boundary for repeated activity.

  • Platform wallets — provision wallets for users of marketplaces, trading platforms, games, payout products, and other account-based applications.
  • Shopping wallet apps — let people hold stablecoins and pay independent merchants through direct transfers or an optional virtual card.
  • Shopping agents — give an agent a narrow, expiring purchase mandate for unrelated ecommerce stores.

An ordinary store that only needs to collect one payment is a weak fit for per-shopper wallet provisioning. It can accept a transfer from the shopper's existing wallet. The platform-wallet use case begins when users maintain balances, assets, payouts, rewards, or repeated transaction authority inside the product.
